In Kyrgyzstan, from July, allowances will be paid to all children under three years old: Sadyr Japarov signed a decree
The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, has signed a decree to introduce a new monthly state allowance for all children under the age of three – "Bala Yrysy".
Payments will begin on July 1, 2026, and will be provided to every child under three years old, regardless of the family's income level. The amount of the allowance will be 1200 soms per month.
The President noted that the decision was made in response to numerous appeals from citizens and is aimed at supporting families during the most important period of a child's development.
Sadyr Japarov emphasized: "As the Head of State, I certainly see the complaints coming in about the system of state allowances, where obtaining them turns into practically insurmountable barriers. The real needs of many mothers often go unnoticed. Families are forced to seek help from the state, but instead of support, they face refusals and endless bureaucratic circles.
This is especially unacceptable when it comes to infants. It is in the first years of life that the most important physical and mental abilities of a person are formed, which remain with them for life.
Therefore, with today’s decree, I have instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to develop the introduction of the new allowance "Bala Yrysy". We know: every child is born with their own yrysy – with their own happiness and blessing.
Of course, some may say that there could be abuses. But I believe: it is better for the state to pay a few extra allowances to those who are not in dire need than for even one truly needy child to be left without support and nutrition. I am building Kyrgyzstan where no child will be left behind and without attention. Everything we do, we do for our children and the future of Kyrgyzstan. I am confident that the economic upturn, which has already begun, will allow us in the coming years not only to overcome poverty but also to ensure a decent life for every citizen of Kyrgyzstan.”
The new social support measure is aimed at reducing child poverty and providing guaranteed assistance to families during the most important period of a child's development. According to the National Statistical Committee, there are about 445,000 children under the age of three living in Kyrgyzstan.
The record "Starting July 1, payments for children under three years old will begin in Kyrgyzstan: President Sadyr Japarov's decree first appeared in K-News."
