On the evening of March 4, 2026, at approximately 22:42, information was received at the Sokuluk District Police Department about a violation of traffic rules in the village of Ak-Zhol, near a stationary post. An investigative operational group immediately went to the scene, as reported by the Main Internal Affairs Department of the Chui Region.
According to the police, at 22:20, a citizen named K.Zh., while driving a white "VAZ 2106" car under the influence of strong alcohol and drugs, along with passengers M.A. and A.A., violated traffic rules on the Bishkek–Manas highway, right in front of the traffic police.
Traffic police received a radio message that this driver was creating a dangerous situation on the road and was not responding to the lawful demands of the police. At the moment when K.Zh. was attempted to be stopped, he began to flee, leading to a chase.
During the pursuit, his vehicle collided with two patrol cars — a Renault Logan and a Chevrolet Cobalt, damaging their bumpers. After this, the driver and his passengers attempted to escape, running in different directions.
Police officers fired warning shots into the air. Two suspects were detained at the scene, while K.Zh. resisted, using violence and foul language, and tore the uniform of inspector I.M. The third suspect was detained about an hour later.
A narcological examination showed the presence of drugs and alcohol in the blood of both driver K.Zh. and passengers M.A. and A.A.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 280 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
All three suspects: K.Zh., born in 2002, M.A., born in 1999, and A.A., born in 2001, were detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
