In honor of the Day of Ak Kalpak, which is a significant national symbol of the Kyrgyz people, a special event is taking place at the Memorial House-Museum of M. Frunze.
According to the Ministry of Culture, the program includes a lecture that will cover the historical aspects, sacred significance, and uniqueness of the Kyrgyz ak kalpak. A mini-exhibition is also planned, where visitors will be able to see traditional models of headwear, archival documents, and photographs. Participants of the event will gain a deeper understanding of the role that ak kalpak plays in cultural and social life, as well as its symbolism and significance in the context of preserving national heritage in the modern world.
The goal of this event is to increase interest in traditional culture, strengthen respect for historical heritage, and national symbols.
