The Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliev, stated that the previously presented data on the incomes of deputies was not entirely accurate. According to him, based on official information, the base salary of a deputy is 58,432 soms. Additionally, there is a fund of 80,000 soms that is used to cover expenses for fuel, car repairs, driver salaries, organizing meetings with voters, and trips to the regions.
The speaker also noted that the allocated funds are not always sufficient, and some deputies are forced to use their own resources to fulfill their duties. Mamataliev urged bloggers and media representatives to responsibly handle the dissemination of information and to avoid publishing lists of deputies who, in their opinion, should not remain in parliament.
