Demolition, Traffic Jams in Osh, Dismantled Bridge: What Issues Are Raised by the Members of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan?

Today, March 4, during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, parliamentarians discussed a number of socio-economic issues in the "various" section.

Deputy Dastan Bekeshev drew attention to the actions of the land amnesty commission, noting that residents of the 172nd and 232nd contours still have not received the necessary documents. He also raised issues concerning residential buildings at the addresses of April 7, 139/1 and Suerkulova, 16/1 in Bishkek. Additionally, the deputy reported on plans to construct a bypass road in the village of Kok-Zhar, but there is no information about the demolition of houses and possible compensations.

Yzyldyz Kurmanalieva, a deputy, addressed the problems of residents in the village of Taran Bazar in the Suzak district regarding compensations related to the construction of the railway. She also noted an increase in thefts in the village and called on law enforcement agencies to take action. The deputy proposed building a school in the village of Zhany-Achy, pointing out that the cost estimate documentation is ready.

Nurjamal Torobekova raised the issue of the need for a kindergarten in Kyrgyz-Chek in the Kara-Suu district of Osh region. She also emphasized the importance of creating a covered football field for the school in this village.

Altynbek Kudayberdiev reported on problems related to the high level of groundwater in the village of Kyrgyzstan, Kara-Suu district. Residents are requesting consideration for the construction of a sewage network and road repairs. He also pointed out the upcoming approval of a new General Plan in Osh in 2026, which will require the issuance of relevant documents to the local population. The deputy suggested considering the possibility of reducing the water protection zone of the Ak-Buura River from 50 to 20 meters for new constructions.

Suyunbek Omurzakov highlighted traffic jams in Osh as one of the main problems, emphasizing the need to expedite the construction of a bridge, which is being delayed due to budget shortages. He noted that a number of infrastructure projects in the city have been suspended due to financial constraints and proposed considering the creation of a free economic zone in the Osh region.

Dastanbek Jumabekov reported on the dismantling of a bridge on the Suusamyr - Talas - Taraz highway, which was used by residents of the Bakai-Ata and Aitmatov districts for irrigating agricultural lands. He expressed concern about possible problems with the provision of irrigation water during the spring fieldwork.

Ismanali Joroev discussed the state of the Karagach grove in Bishkek, noting that only about 40 out of 136 hectares are being utilized. He called for measures to develop the grove and proposed creating an eco-zone called "Little Venice." The deputy also highlighted the need to restore a section of the railway from Suluktu to Leylek.

Gulsharkan Kultaeva voiced the requests of residents of Uch-Korgon in the Jalal-Abad region for the construction of a new school using the republican budget, as well as for the opening of branches of commercial banks and a checkpoint "Uch-Korgon" at the border with Uzbekistan.

Yrysbek Atazhanov emphasized the importance of ensuring flood protection in the village of Sai in the new building of Arasai, located by the Bazar-Sai River, as well as the construction of a 5-kilometer road. He also touched on socio-economic issues in the villages of Apkan and Bozhoi in the Batken region.
