- During the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh held on March 4, 2026, Deputy Suyunbek Ormurzakov drew attention to the requests of local residents for the establishment of a special economic zone on the border with Uzbekistan.

He emphasized that the positive experience gained from the creation of similar zones in the Jalal-Abad and Batken regions demonstrates the successful development of border areas.

According to the deputy, the opening of a special economic zone in the Osh region could significantly improve the economic situation in the area by creating new jobs and increasing trade turnover.
