Road Repairs in Bishkek: Unscrupulous Contractors to Be Added to the "Black List"
Deputy Mayor Ramiz Aliyev held a meeting with contractors in the meeting hall of the capital municipality.
During the meeting, information was presented by the Department of Control over the Implementation of Decisions regarding the condition of roads built in 2025. Following the discussion, the deputy mayor instructed the creation of a special working commission for a comprehensive inspection of the quality of the completed road works.
The commission will need to conduct an assessment of the sites within 10 days and propose measures regarding the contracting organizations that have committed violations. The issue of blacklisting unscrupulous contractors will also be considered. In addition, disciplinary measures will be provided for employees who failed to ensure proper control and acceptance of the work, up to dismissal.
The heads of four districts were instructed to promptly eliminate the identified defects as soon as the weather conditions are favorable.
“In 2026, the Bishkek city hall will not cooperate with contractors who did not fulfill their obligations in 2025,” emphasized the deputy mayor.
The development of road infrastructure remains a priority for the city hall. In the near future, with the improvement of weather conditions, it is planned to eliminate all defects and begin work on the construction and reconstruction of new roads in the capital.
