Iranian media report on strike against US airbase in Bahrain

Iranian state media report that a U.S. airbase located in Bahrain has become the target of a missile attack from Tehran.

A video posted by the Fars agency, which is linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), captures a wave of missiles hitting distant targets.

According to the information presented in the report, the strike, carried out using drones and missiles from the IRGC, resulted in the destruction of a command post and headquarters at the airbase in the Sheikh Isa area of Bahrain and caused explosions of fuel tanks.

The U.S. has not yet commented on reports of this attack.

Earlier, smoke was seen rising above the American naval base in Bahrain.

The U.S. State Department has ordered American citizens to leave Bahrain immediately, as well as several other countries in the Middle East.
