He addressed the committee chairman, deputy Altynbek Kudayberdiev, asking why Kerimov was allowed to respond while seated.
“What has changed? Previously, other speakers always answered while standing, so why is it that Nasipbek Kerimov can do it sitting down? Who decided that he has the right to do this without our consent?” Altynbekov stated.
In response, Kudayberdiev explained that this decision was made for the convenience of all deputies.
However, Altynbekov emphasized that speakers should answer questions while standing to demonstrate respect both to the deputies and to their constituents.
At that moment, the agenda included a draft Agreement on Financing between the Kyrgyz Republic and the International Development Association as part of the project “Development of the Electricity Market and Integration of Energy Systems (REMIT)” (submitted for approval).
