NASA Veteran Claims That Aliens Really Exist
Dr. Gentry Lee, who has been working at NASA since 1968, shared his opinion on the existence of aliens at a recent conference of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in Phoenix. According to him, aliens do exist; however, they have not visited Earth to date. "As of today, there is no evidence that any aliens or their craft have ever landed on our planet. If you think otherwise, you are being misled," he noted.
Nevertheless, Lee is confident in the existence of life on other planets, especially those that resemble Earth. One of the most promising candidates for the search for extraterrestrial life is the planet TRAPPIST-1e, located 40 light-years away from us in the habitable zone.
Scientists are also considering the possibility of life on the planet K2−18b, located 124 light-years from Earth in the constellation Leo. This giant world is completely covered by oceans and is referred to as a "ocean planet."
Lee emphasized that astronomers must be prepared for the fact that extraterrestrial forms of life may differ significantly from those on Earth. "We will definitely find life somewhere in the cosmos. The odds of this are quite high," the scientist added.
