During a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh dedicated to finance, budget, and entrepreneurship, deputy Ulanbek Zhaanbaev raised the issue of potential liability for laboratories that issue certificates of conformity and origin for exported goods if they do so erroneously.
He emphasized that many businessmen at the border with Russia are facing difficulties and have incurred significant losses.
Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Sultan Akhmatov noted that such situations arise due to the operation of fictitious companies that guarantee the issuance of certificates in just one hour.
“As of today, we are closing down such companies. We have digitized the processes, where all stages are documented, including information on who conducted the testing, where the samples were taken from, testing protocols, and other data,” he added.
The deputy also stated the need not only to close these firms but also to hold them accountable, as this negatively affects the country's reputation.
