- During the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Finance, Budget, Entrepreneurship, and Competition Development, Deputy Ismanali Joroev emphasized the problems that Kyrgyzstan faces when exporting goods to EAEU countries.

He noted that imported goods enter the country with few obstacles, but serious difficulties arise when trying to export local products.

The deputy also pointed out the significant queues of heavy trucks at the border with Kazakhstan.

“When will we be able to freely export our goods within the EAEU?” he inquired.

In response, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Sultan Akhmatov stated that the delays are related to internal problems in Russia and Kazakhstan, which create difficulties for transit.

“If they continue to violate the conditions of the EAEU and create barriers, we will be ready to defend our rights. We will prepare the appropriate letters and send them to the Eurasian Economic Commission,” Akhmatov added.

The meeting also discussed a draft protocol on amendments to the Agreement concerning criminal and administrative liability for violations of the customs legislation of the Customs Union and the member countries of the Customs Union dated July 5, 2010 (submitted for approval).
