On March 1, a meeting took place in Jinan between Edil Baisalov, Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, and Lin Wu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Communist Party of China in Shandong Province.
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, during the negotiations, the parties noted the high level of strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and China, as well as discussed opportunities for developing interregional cooperation. The importance of strengthening ties between the regions of Kyrgyzstan and Shandong was emphasized.
In addition, Edil Baisalov raised issues regarding the activation of practical cooperation, including the establishment of new production capacities in Kyrgyzstan, which should support small and medium-sized businesses.
“Over the past five years, under the leadership of President Sadyr Japarov, Kyrgyzstan has demonstrated high rates of socio-economic development. The country is entering a new stage, where the key tasks are the implementation of modern production technologies, the creation of export-oriented enterprises, and new jobs for youth. The government is developing a number of new programs and intends to actively utilize the experience and cooperation with China,” noted the Deputy Prime Minister.
Lin Wu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the CPC in Shandong Province, confirmed readiness to support the expansion of cooperation, the development of investment relations, the launch of new initiatives, and the activation of humanitarian exchanges.
As a result of the meeting, the parties identified further steps to strengthen interregional interaction and agreed to continue joint work on the implementation of the agreements reached. The Kyrgyz delegation also familiarized itself with the operations of leading machine engineering enterprises in the province.
