President: We have reached a decisive stage in removing Kyrgyzstan from the EU's blacklist

President Sadyr Japarov announced at a republican meeting that Kyrgyzstan has reached a key stage in the process of being removed from the European Union's blacklist, where the country has been for the last two decades.
According to the president, significant changes have occurred in the aviation infrastructure: airports have been modernized, runways have been renewed, terminals have been reconstructed, and modern navigation and flight safety standards have been implemented. Japarov noted that these steps have significantly improved connectivity between the regions of the country and made travel for citizens more comfortable. "This has created a solid foundation for the development of international air communication," he emphasized.
The head of state added that the compliance of the aviation infrastructure with modern requirements is the result of systematic work. He noted that the opening of European airspace will provide new opportunities for tourism development, attracting investments, and strengthening Kyrgyzstan's international image.
Joining a unified airspace will allow the country to access the passenger and cargo transportation market worth millions of dollars, which in turn will contribute to economic growth and improve the well-being of citizens.
It should be noted that the meeting titled "Yntymak Ordo" was held to summarize the results of 2025 and gathered participants, including members of the cabinet of ministers, heads of state bodies, authorized representatives of the president in the regions, mayors of Bishkek and Osh, as well as district akims.
