Film about Kyrgyzstan presented at the world premiere in London

On February 25, the world premiere of the multi-part documentary project titled "Dominic West: Kyrgyzstan," also known internationally as Beyond the Silk Road, took place at the VUE Cinema Leicester Square in London.

According to information from the Ministry of Culture, members of the film crew, representatives of the international cultural community, and numerous guests attended the ceremonial screening. The film presentation was conducted by Alexandra Tolstaya, Clark Peters, and Dominic West.

The Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, Timurlan Azhymaliev, emphasized the uniqueness of this project and its significance for the development of international cultural dialogue in his welcoming speech. He noted how important the film is for promoting Kyrgyzstan as a country with a rich historical heritage and a distinctive culture on the world stage.

"Dominic West: Kyrgyzstan" is a large-scale international documentary series that follows the famous British actor Dominic West along the routes of the Great Silk Road that pass through Kyrgyzstan. The project was created under the direction of British director and producer Laura Jones, who specializes in documentary filmmaking and international television projects.

The series offers a deep dive into the culture, nature, history, and contemporary life of Kyrgyzstan. The journey begins in Bishkek, includes visits to the Osh Bazaar and Ala-Too Square, and then moves on to the epic of "Manas." The route continues through places such as Kara-Suu, the Sary-Chelek State Reserve, the Jailoo of Kara-Kamysh, Tash-Rabat, the At-Bashinsky district, and the Torugart Pass—key points along the historical path of the Great Silk Road.
