On February 26, the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliyev, held a meeting of the Coordination Council, which was attended by the Deputy Speakers, leaders of parliamentary groups, chairpersons of relevant committees, and staff members.
According to the press service of the parliament, the agenda included issues related to the work of the legislative body and law-making activities. Proposals related to international events were also discussed.
Mamataliyev emphasized the importance of creating equal conditions for all deputies when organizing trips abroad and instructed the committee on international affairs, security, defense, and migration to study this issue.
In addition, the Speaker shared his thoughts on improving the law-making process, issues of digitalization, and spoke about the measures being taken in these areas.
Members of the Coordination Council also put forward their proposals for changing the names of some committees and ensuring the possibility of online participation for those invited to the meetings.
