According to him, initially, the issuance of the OSAGO policy was only possible at the offices of insurance companies, but over time this process has been fully automated.
“Today, car owners can purchase an OSAGO policy through mobile applications, the 'Tunduk' platform, as well as on the websites of both our organization and private insurance companies. This allows for insurance to be arranged remotely, without the need to visit an office,” he noted.
Turumbekov emphasized that the digitization of the policy issuance process was an important step in increasing the accessibility of mandatory insurance. The state, by introducing the requirement for a policy, had to create comfortable conditions for obtaining it.
Additionally, he reminded that insurance companies are required to consider claims for payments within 30 days after receiving all necessary documents.
“According to the law, we are obliged to either pay the insurance compensation or provide a justified refusal within 30 days,” Turumbekov added.
He also urged drivers to timely arrange their OSAGO policy, emphasizing that having insurance can significantly reduce financial risks in the event of a traffic accident.
