
The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic reports that the Program for the Development of Culture and Arts for the upcoming period from 2026 to 2030 has been approved.
The signing of the relevant resolution took place under the leadership of the Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev.
This initiative is part of the implementation of the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding urgent measures to support the sphere of culture, arts, and sports.
The document includes not only the Program itself but also an Action Plan, budget, and a matrix of indicators that will be used for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the program.
The main goals and priority areas for the development of the cultural sector in the country until 2030 are clearly defined in this document.
The key objectives of the Program are to increase public access to cultural values, create opportunities for creative self-realization, form civic identity, and enhance the influence of cultural processes on social and economic transformations in the republic.
The Program also aims to develop interregional cultural ties, support cultural initiatives, and create conditions for active citizen participation in the cultural life of the country, including about 30 events across 6 priority areas.
Heads of ministries and other government bodies involved in the implementation of the Action Plan have been instructed to ensure strict and timely fulfillment of all assigned tasks.
