The Ministry received a complaint to the Internal Investigations Service, in which a citizen identified as “Sh.J.” presented herself as an employee of the road traffic safety service. She offered services for registering a vehicle in the Kyrgyz Republic and obtaining a state license plate for a certain fee.
The vehicle, a “Toyota Avensis,” had previously been registered in Russia. For her services, “Sh.J.” received an amount of 57,000 soms.
Payment was made through an electronic wallet, after which the applicant received a fake vehicle registration certificate via the WhatsApp messenger.
The state license plate was left by the suspect at a gas station located near the “Dostuk” border crossing point.
In connection with these events, a criminal case has been opened under Article 209 (Fraud) and Article 379 (Document Forgery) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The citizen “Sh.J.” was detained and taken to the investigative authorities. Fake documents, including the vehicle registration certificate, were found and seized from her car.
Currently, investigative activities are ongoing.
