- At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Finance, Budget, Entrepreneurship, and Development, held on February 23, 2026, Deputy Kamila Talieva addressed Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Nurbek Abdieva with a question about how the department is combating phone fraud, which affects many citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

Talieva noted that many people have become victims of scammers using phone calls to deceive them.

In response, Abdieva emphasized that there are currently many different methods of fraud.

“Scammers call, posing as employees of government agencies, and ask for money transfers. Cases of deception through messengers and investment proposals are also being recorded,” he reported.

The deputy asked another question about the cessation of activities of organizations operating on a "pyramid" scheme, similar to network marketing.

Abdieva assured that inspections on such cases are conducted on an ongoing basis.

Kamila Talieva also pointed out that police officers refuse to accept reports of internet fraud, citing the large number of such complaints and the lack of results.

The meeting also reviewed information on the implementation of the resolution of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic dated June 25, 2025, No. 3297-VII, regarding measures to combat fraudulent activities in the banking sector and online.
