In her comments, Zakharova emphasized that Epstein's files reveal the true nature of Western society, where criminal elements actually operated. "Look at how much time we spent fighting against fabricated accusations, such as the Skripal case or the situation with Navalny. We presented facts and evidence, but to no avail," she added.
"For so many years, they created myths that Russia poses a threat, while in their own societies, in the most expensive neighborhoods of New York, London, and other major cities, real vampires and criminals were at work," she noted.
Zakharova also expressed bewilderment as to why human rights organizations and journalists, who were supposed to monitor the situation, did not pay attention to this. "Where were their law enforcement agencies and public organizations? Why didn't they notice what was actually happening? They were led to believe that Russia is the main enemy, and because of that, they couldn't see their own problems," she commented.
"I feel neither satisfaction nor schadenfreude from the revelation of these facts, but perhaps there is a kind of satisfaction that everything we talked about turned out to be true. This is merely a fictitious agenda behind which their own vices were hidden," concluded the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
