Kyrgyzstan produced food products worth 104.7 billion soms by the end of 2025
Compared to 2024, this figure increased by 18%, as confirmed by official statistical sources.
The physical volume index at the end of the year was 130.1%, while in 2024 this index was 120.1%.
The main factor for growth was food production, the volume of which reached 74.5 billion soms, which is 15.2% more than the previous year. The physical volume index in this segment was 123.8%.
Meat production demonstrated significant growth: from January to December, goods worth 12.1 billion soms were produced, and the physical volume index was 107.5%. In December, the growth was particularly pronounced — 142.7%.
However, some areas experienced a decline. For example, processing and preserving fish, crustaceans, and mollusks showed a downturn: the physical volume index was only 70.3% compared to 114.3% in the previous year.
The production of vegetable and animal oils and fats showed steady growth — 624.3 million soms, with a physical volume index of 107.8%.
The volume of dairy product production for the year reached 19.4 billion soms, with a physical volume index of 99.1%, indicating stabilization in this segment.
In the flour and cereal segment, the production volume amounted to 10.7 billion soms, but the physical volume index decreased to 107.4% compared to 129.8% in 2024.
Thus, despite the decline in activity in certain sub-sectors, the food processing industry of Kyrgyzstan maintains a positive trend in 2025.
