On February 17, a republican aitys dedicated to young improvisational akyns titled “Akzholtoy and Mother Mayra, Just Like a Clear Spring and a River” took place at the Kyrgyz National Theater “Manas” in Bishkek.
During the event, according to information from the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, an evening of remembrance was organized to pay tribute to the life path and cultural heritage of two outstanding figures who had a significant impact on Kyrgyz culture. Participants in the poetic competitions highlighted their dedication to the people, high human qualities, and the exemplary legacy they left for future generations through their works.
The winners received cash prizes from the Kyrgyz National Theater “Manas,” with a total prize fund of 200,000 soms.
The results of the aitys were as follows:
- Grand Prix — Askar Ayazbekov,
- 1st place — Nurbolot Temir uulu,
- 2nd place — Yryskeldi Kalibek uulu,
- 3rd place — Aijamal Adylbek kyzy.
