Kassym-Jomart Tokayev informed Sadyr Japarov about the constitutional reform in Kazakhstan
Today, February 17, a telephone conversation took place between the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, initiated by the Kazakh side, reports the press service of the President's administration of Kyrgyzstan.
During the conversation, the heads of state discussed key aspects of Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations, including the implementation of previously reached agreements in areas such as trade, transport, industrial cooperation, energy, and water resource management.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev informed Sadyr Japarov about the process of constitutional reform in Kazakhstan, aimed at creating a stable foundation for the country's further progress. In response, Sadyr Japarov expressed support for these reforms, including the idea of a unicameral Parliament, and wished for a successful nationwide referendum.
The leaders emphasized that all existing issues should be resolved in a spirit of trust and traditional brotherhood, which will serve as a reliable basis for effective cooperation.
The presidents also exchanged views on internal reforms, regional and international agendas, and discussed plans for upcoming joint events in a multilateral format.
