According to Baza, it is expected that the restrictions will be in effect across the country, and the application will cease to function both through mobile networks and fixed internet providers.
In response to the news that appeared in the media, Roskomnadzor noted that "the agency has nothing to add to the previously published information on this issue."
RBC reported on the beginning of work to restrict Telegram back on February 10. Subsequently, Roskomnadzor confirmed the introduction of "phased restrictions," explaining this as a necessity to protect citizens' data and comply with legislation.
