IBM does not intend to replace employees with AI. On the contrary, the company will triple the number of people hired

According to the report, IBM plans to significantly increase hiring. The head of the company emphasized that current developments in AI do not allow for a complete replacement of humans, as the technologies are only capable of handling low-level tasks for now.

IBM also claims that layoffs resulting from the implementation of AI are a misguided approach to resource savings. At the same time, Microsoft’s leadership believes there is a possibility that AI could replace most office workers within the next 12-18 months.

Mustafa Suleyman, head of the AI department at Microsoft, stated in a recent interview with the Financial Times that many office professions, such as lawyer, accountant, or project manager, will be fully automated within the next year and a half.

"I am confident that we will reach a level of productivity comparable to human performance in most professional tasks. Office work will be automated, and this will happen within the next 12-18 months," he noted.

Elon Musk, for his part, predicts that by the end of 2026, programming will become unnecessary, as AI will be able to generate binary code without human involvement. In one of his videos, he stated that by that time "there will be no point in trying to program," since artificial intelligence will be able to create more efficient binary files, bypassing traditional development stages.

"I think that by the end of this year, programming will become redundant. Artificial intelligence will create binary files on its own, bypassing all traditional processes," he added.
