"Кыргыз Экспорт Comments on the Features of Delivering Perishable Goods to Tajikistan"
According to him, for products that require temperature control, it is necessary for producers or buyers to have appropriate storage facilities.
“Perishable goods, such as sausages and dairy products, have a limited shelf life, so they should be delivered to the buyer as quickly as possible, as long-term storage in a warehouse is not feasible,” he noted.
In contrast, some types of cheese can be stored longer, depending on the technology of their production.
Takirov added that the need for warehouses depends on the specific type of product: for vegetables and fruits, such as apples, potatoes, and onions, special storage facilities are required, while for processed goods with a short shelf life, the priority is quick delivery.
The director also pointed out the proximity of the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan, including Osh, Batken, and Jalal-Abad regions, to Tajikistan. Delivery to Khujand, for example, takes only 4-5 hours, and for these regions, it is closer than Bishkek.
Khujand is an important industrial center of the Sughd region, where a significant portion of Tajikistan's goods is produced. This creates demand and opportunities for the supply of Kyrgyz goods, especially those that are not produced in that area.
According to Takirov, entrepreneurs organize logistics taking all factors into account: after production, goods are quickly loaded and delivered, and further decisions on storage and sales are made based on the buyer's needs.
In his opinion, the creation of logistics centers makes sense primarily for goods that require storage. At the same time, the similarity of the climatic conditions of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan facilitates mutual supplies and expands the range of available products.
