The First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Daniyar Amangeldiev, shared his opinion with journalists from the Bloomberg media group regarding possible new sanctions against the country. This information was provided by the press service of the President's Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the Munich Security Conference, Amangeldiev clarified the recent Bloomberg report, which stated that the European Union is considering the introduction of new restrictive measures against Kyrgyzstan.

He also added that the Cabinet of Ministers regularly collaborates with the EU Special Envoy for Sanctions, David O'Sullivan, discussing this issue.

Amangeldiev emphasized that the choice of Kyrgyzstan as a target for sanction pressure from European structures constitutes intimidation and resembles the principle of "beat the small so that the big are afraid." He noted that the Kyrgyz side does not agree with this," the press service's message stated.

At the end of January, Bloomberg reported on possible measures that the European Union is preparing, including a ban on the supply of machines and various equipment to Kyrgyzstan as part of a new sanctions package against Russia.
