- In his interview, the head of the project implementation department of OJSC "Chakan HPP," Aalyaydar Slem uulu, noted that in recent years there has been a significant increase in interest in electric vehicles in Kyrgyzstan, which aligns with the global trend of rising production.

According to him, on a global scale, the production volumes of electric vehicles have increased by 2-3 times, and this trend is also noticeable in the republic.

Slem uulu emphasized that the main advantage of electric vehicles is their lower operating costs, as electricity is cheaper than traditional fuels such as gasoline and other petroleum products.

Moreover, he pointed out the environmental benefits of electric transport. Electricity is considered a cleaner source, and the development of electric vehicles helps reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere.

Slem uulu also highlighted the significant hydropower potential of Kyrgyzstan, which allows the country to meet its domestic electricity needs and thereby reduce dependence on fuel imports.

“We are capable of producing electricity independently and using it as an alternative fuel for vehicles. This is an important issue for the energy security of our country,” he added.
