Kazakhstan Plans to Triple the Total Installed Capacity of Hydroelectric Power Plants by the End of 2030

- By the end of 2030, Kazakhstan intends to triple the installed capacity of hydroelectric power plants, according to information from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On February 13, the ministry reported that there are currently 43 hydroelectric facilities operating in the country with a total installed capacity of 313 MW.

In accordance with the signed agreements, it is planned to commission new hydroelectric power plants with a capacity of about 660 MW by 2030.
