
Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, speaking as the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, announced his decision to resign of his own accord.
During an official visit to Turkey, he stated that significant events occurred and opinions regarding his personality began to spread actively.
He noted: “I do not serve the interests of individuals; my task is to serve the state and the people. I should not be associated with specific individuals,” he added.
The Speaker emphasized that after being re-elected, he made a substantial contribution to the adoption of key decisions for the state, and the parliament played an important role in maintaining political stability and the development of the country.
“All necessary laws have been adopted. We must develop political culture,” he remarked in his statement.
Additionally, he confirmed that the decision to resign is voluntary and was not related to any pressure.
