Trump after meeting with Netanyahu stated that he insists on continuing negotiations with Iran

After meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed his position on the necessity of continuing negotiations with Iran.

Trump noted: “We have not made any final decisions, but I insist on continuing negotiations with Iran to assess the possibility of reaching a deal. If it is possible, I informed the Prime Minister that this would be the best outcome. If not, we will have to look at the result. Last time, Iran chose to evade the agreement and faced consequences — it did not work out for them. I hope this time they will show greater reasonableness and responsibility. We also discussed the significant progress made in Gaza and in the region as a whole. There is indeed peace in the Middle East right now.”
At the same time, the President of Iran announced his readiness to open nuclear facilities for inspections, as reported by The Financial Times.
Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran is ready to provide access to nuclear facilities for “any inspection” to demonstrate its lack of intentions to develop nuclear weapons, as negotiations continue to prevent military actions from the U.S. However, it remains unclear whether this indicates a change in the country's policy, which previously allowed only partial inspections.
“We have repeatedly stated our unwillingness to possess nuclear weapons,” Pezeshkian noted. “We are open to any inspections.”
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi reported that the organization’s inspectors have long been waiting for permission to access three key Iranian uranium enrichment facilities that were targeted by bombings from Israel and the U.S. in June 2025. According to him, a change in Tehran's position during crucial negotiations could indicate that “Iran seeks transparency, has nothing to hide, and any reasons for new attacks would be at least questionable.”
Meanwhile, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, the Pentagon is preparing a second aircraft carrier for deployment in the Middle East.
Donald Trump is increasing pressure on Iran to reach an agreement on its nuclear program. Three U.S. officials reported that the Pentagon has instructed a second carrier strike group to prepare for deployment in the region as American military forces get ready for a potential attack on Iran. However, a final decision on a forceful scenario has not yet been made at the White House.
