- In 2025, the republican budget received 5.8 billion soms from vehicle registration fees, as reported by the Ministry of Finance in its report on the execution of the state budget.

Compared to 2024, revenues from this source increased by 2.4 times.

The fees for vehicle registration accounted for 3.4% of the total volume of non-tax revenues.

A fee of 5% of the value is charged for vehicle registration according to the established tariff schedule, and 0.3% for re-registration. The increase in revenues is likely related to the campaign for the legalization of foreign vehicles, which took place from April to September.

The fee for the legalization of foreign vehicles was set at 50,000 soms for cars with engines up to two liters and 100,000 soms for more powerful ones. A total of about 30,000 passenger cars were legalized.
