Shykmamatov spoke about key changes in the taxation of markets and shopping centers
At a recent meeting of the board dedicated to the results of the State Tax Service's work for 2025, the head of the agency, Alambet Shykmamatov, shared important changes in taxation for markets and shopping centers.
Among the reforms are the return of the patent system, the cancellation of mandatory use of cash registers for certain entities, an increase in the annual revenue threshold to 50 million soms, and the introduction of reduced tax rates for the jewelry sector.
“All these changes were the result of dialogue with business representatives, not just office work,” noted Shykmamatov.
Additionally, he emphasized that the pilot project implemented in the "Dordoy," "Kara-Suu," and "Madina" markets, where the market administration acts as tax agents, demonstrated a significant reduction in the risks of abuse and an increase in tax discipline due to decreased direct contact and the human factor.
