On February 6, a concert featuring soloists from the Kyrgyz National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after A. Maldybaev took place at the secondary school named after Orozaly Tekeiev in the village of Bukara, Panfilov district, Chui region.
As it became known, the event, aimed at introducing schoolchildren to classical music, was organized by the theater's director, Nailya Rakhmadieva. Local residents eagerly awaited the artists, and the school's sports hall, which accommodated everyone who wished to attend, became a meeting place for children, their parents, and friends.
The performers included People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Baktybek Ybykeev, Honored Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic Aizirek Momunova, Aibek Saralaev, and Nurzhigit Asanov, as well as international competition winners Kristina Sevostyanova, Salima Mamatova, and Murat Derbishaliev, who delighted the audience with their lively performances. The concertmaster was Nurzhan Toktobekova.
“Schoolchildren listened with bated breath to arias from the works of great composers such as G. Verdi, G. Puccini, G. Rossini, and C. Gounod, as well as pieces by Kyrgyz authors – N. Davlesov, K. Moldobasanov, A. Ogonbaev, and A. Aytaliev. For many children, this was their first experience with opera art, and the organizers noted that the main goal is to make opera an accessible and understandable art form,” the theater representatives shared.
Special attention was drawn to the master classes organized by People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Baktybek Ybykeev on vocals and artist Zulfiya Akimova from the "Gallery M" under the direction of director Meerim Akmatkulova. Children had the opportunity to interact with the masters and ask them questions in an informal setting, allowing them to learn more about creative professions and the world of art.
“The audience sent the artists off with applause and sincere thanks. The meeting took place in an atmosphere of creativity, music, and painting. After the concert ended, the audience discussed what they had seen for a long time, hoping that this event would leave bright memories in their hearts,” the organizers shared their impressions.
