It has been announced how many athletes will participate in the VI WIC and what the prize fund will be.
In 2026, Kyrgyzstan will host the World Nomad Games, which are expected to attract athletes and guests from at least 100 countries. Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, announced this during an on-site meeting held at the racetrack in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region, aimed at preparing for this significant event.
During the meeting, key issues regarding the preparation for this cultural and sports event were discussed, including organizational aspects, infrastructure status, and conditions for hosting foreign guests.
According to the information received, the prize fund for the games will be approximately 4 million soms. Competitions in the main types of national and equestrian sports are planned, which will help showcase the nomadic culture, traditions, and historical heritage of the Kyrgyz people to a global audience.
As part of this trip, Bakyt Torobaev familiarized himself with the condition of the racetrack in Cholpon-Ata and provided specific instructions for improving the preparatory work and infrastructure to meet international standards. He also instructed local and state authorities to ensure quality preparation within the established deadlines.
