The volume of money transfers from Russia to Kyrgyzstan reached a record 2.99 billion dollars

Data from RBC shows that the volume of transfers increased by 16.7% compared to the same period in 2024. It is important to note that this figure does not include December transfers, but even at this stage, it is a record high.

Meanwhile, transfers from Russia to other countries in the region have returned to 2021 levels. After a sharp increase in 2022, caused by the mass exodus of Russians, 2023 has seen a decline in activity due to adaptation and difficulties in making international transfers.

For example, transfers to Armenia decreased by 59% to 1.3 billion dollars, whereas the previous year this figure was nearly 4 billion. A decline is also observed in Georgia (-13.6%) and Kazakhstan (-21.8%).

Experts note that Kyrgyzstan maintains its status as one of the most convenient financial centers for Russian companies and citizens. Local banks offer relatively simple conditions for opening accounts for Russians, which simplifies the resolution of everyday financial issues, such as expenses during trips and payments for online services.

Kyrgyzstan also provides advantages for businesses, including simplified company registration, lenient banking compliance conditions, low taxes, and legislation that allows for working with cryptocurrencies.
