"Gazprom Kyrgyzstan" announced the timelines for the gasification of residential areas in Bishkek
In the response from acting Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance of "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan," Arzymat Aldayev, it was indicated that gasification was carried out in several residential areas of Bishkek and the Chui region last year.
According to him, among the populated areas that were gasified in 2025 were Bakai-Ata, Tokoldosh, and the village of Novopavlovka, and work also began in the village of Novopokrovka.
Deputy Zhanibek Abirov clarified whether gasification was carried out in the Lenin district, as the listed areas are mainly located in the Sverdlovsk district.
Aldayev added that the gasification of Novopokrovka is planned to be completed this year. If additional funds are allocated, work may begin in the residential area of Ak-Bosogo.
The company also reported plans to complete design work in 2026 for the following territories:
• Archa-Beshik (69 ha);
• Selection (second phase);
• village of Orok;
• village of Jal;
• residential area of Sarban.
However, construction and installation work on these sites will not begin before 2027.
As noted by the company representative, the main problem remains the limited capacity of the gas infrastructure. The main gas pipeline running through the Chui region near the village of Manas is located at a significant distance from the southern districts of the capital.
“In Bishkek, gas is supplied through three gas distribution stations — GRS-1, GRS-2, and GRS ‘Malovodnoe,’ which is located in the Sokuluk district. The capacity of the latter is about 10,000 cubic meters of gas per hour, which is insufficient for expanding the network. In 2026, reconstruction of GRS ‘Malovodnoe’ is planned, with a cost of nearly 2 billion soms and a implementation period of 2 years.
After modernization, the station's capacity is expected to be increased to 80–90 thousand cubic meters of gas per hour. This will create opportunities for gasification of the southwestern part of the city and connection of new residential areas, CHPPs, as well as the under-construction central stadium,” Aldayev commented.
