The deputy proposed to consider the Batken region for the construction of solar power stations.
Deputy Minister of Energy Altynbek Rysbekov confirmed this fact, noting that demand is indeed increasing.
According to Akayev, Batken Region, being the sunniest region in Kyrgyzstan, could become attractive for investments in solar stations.
He reported that there are about 10,000 hectares of land in this region suitable for the construction of solar power plants, which could significantly contribute to the development of the region.
At that moment, the draft Law "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Renewable Energy Sources" was being discussed, which is planned to be submitted for a second reading.
