Today, February 3, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, met with Talantbek Tashibekov, who holds the position of Chairman of the National Agency for Religious Affairs and Interethnic Relations.
The president's press service reported that the meeting was organized to discuss the implementation of previously given instructions and to familiarize the head of state with the agency's future work plans.
During the meeting, Talantbek Tashibekov presented information about the agency's plans and outlined the key areas of its activities in the field of religion and interethnic relations.
The president emphasized the importance of a responsible approach to issues of religion and interethnic relations, reminding that the commission was transformed into a National Agency last year, which significantly increased its powers and capabilities.
Tashibekov also reported on the upcoming anniversary dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the organization's founding and asked the president to consider the possibility of awarding distinguished religious figures.
Sadyr Japarov expressed his agreement with this initiative and proposed posthumously awarding the title of "Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic" to the renowned religious figure Chubak aji Jalilov.
In conclusion, the president instructed Talantbek Tashibekov to ensure transparent and systematic work of the agency, as well as to pay special attention to strengthening interfaith and interethnic harmony, as well as promoting unity and just principles.
