The Cabinet will consider amendments to the Law "On Electric Power Industry" to attract investors
The meeting was attended by heads of various structural divisions of the President's Administration, as well as members of the Cabinet of Ministers and representatives of the president in the regions.
During the meeting, a draft amendment to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Electric Power Industry" was presented. The main goal of these amendments is to develop renewable energy sources. In particular, it is planned to increase the maximum capacity of facilities using such sources from 30 to 50 MW, which should attract larger investors. Minister of Energy Talaybek Ibraev presented a report that received support from Cabinet members.
Additionally, the participants discussed the implementation of the Cabinet of Ministers' action plan for 2025. The report was presented by the head of the Department of Political and Economic Research of the President's Administration, Nurbek Tashbekov.
The results of the work of ministries, state agencies, presidential representatives in the regions, as well as the mayors of Bishkek and Osh were reviewed in the context of implementing the tasks set by the Cabinet of Ministers. In light of the achieved successes, disciplinary measures will be taken against some heads of departments.
Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that the Cabinet of Ministers approved a methodology for assessing the implementation of the Action Plan, which is applied annually. This year, the methodology has already been implemented.
“We see many positive results, but there are also issues that remain unresolved due to various circumstances. Our task is not to evaluate the work of government bodies, but to ensure high and complete implementation of the National Development Program of the country through the execution of the Cabinet of Ministers' Action Plan. Only with strict executive discipline can we accelerate socio-economic development and improve the living standards of our people,” noted the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
As part of the Action Plan for 2025, several major events have been implemented. The evaluation of the results of the work of state structures was conducted based on 292 activities. Monitoring and analysis of the progress of implementation were carried out in areas such as industry, agro-industrial complex, transport, energy, digitalization, investments, construction, and the social sphere.
