OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" recently held a meeting with representatives of the Chinese company COMAC (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China), during which the prospects for aviation cooperation between the two parties were discussed.
The main item on the agenda was the opening of an international air route between Osh and Kashgar, which is planned to be launched in April of this year. The new flight will enhance transportation accessibility between Kyrgyzstan and China, as well as develop trade, economic, tourism, and cultural ties between the countries.
During the discussions, it was noted that COMAC is a shareholder of Chengdu Airlines, which actively operates aircraft of its own production. It is expected that flights on the Osh – Kashgar route will be carried out on COMAC C909 aircraft.
OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" views this project as an important step towards expanding its international route network and strengthening partnerships with key airlines in China.
