A national digital tourism application called Tunduk Travel has been initiated in Kyrgyzstan.
Today, at the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic, the concept and technical assignment were signed, marking the official start of the Tunduk Travel project, as reported by the Tourism Department.
These documents were signed as part of the cooperation between the Tourism Department, the Fund for Support and Development of Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, and JSC "Tunduk".
During the event, a trilateral memorandum was also concluded, which strengthens the cooperation of the parties in the field of digitalization of the tourism sector and outlines joint steps for the implementation of modern technologies and the development of a unified tourism ecosystem.
The signing of the concept, technical assignment, and memorandum represents a significant milestone that lays the legal and organizational foundation for the digital transformation of the tourism industry in Kyrgyzstan.
The Tourism Department emphasized the importance of this event. "The Tunduk Travel project aims to create a single digital window for tourists in the Kyrgyz Republic, which will unite government services, business services, and digital tools in one secure ecosystem," said representatives of the department, adding that the implementation of this project will allow:
- to simplify and digitize the tourist's journey — from the moment of entry into the country until the end of the trip;
- to improve the convenience, safety, and quality of tourist services;
- to ensure transparency and an analytical basis for government control;
- to create new opportunities for the development of the tourism business;
- to minimize administrative and service barriers in the industry.
