Economic expert Sergey Ponomarev expressed his opinion regarding the decision of the President of Kyrgyzstan to introduce a moratorium on unscheduled inspections for small and medium-sized businesses until the end of 2026. It should be noted that the day before, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree aimed at preventing excessive and unjustified interference by government structures in entrepreneurial activities.
Ponomarev noted that this presidential decision is intended to reduce the control functions of tax authorities, which often created difficulties for businesses and generated corruption risks. He emphasizes that the introduced moratorium on unscheduled inspections will be positively received in the business community.
Furthermore, the expert suggested that during the period of the moratorium, methodological recommendations for conducting inspections should be developed to completely eliminate corrupt elements and establish clear rules for businesses.
According to him, if a company diligently fulfills its tax obligations and has no serious violations, there is no need for unscheduled inspections. Business should be freed from excessive bureaucracy and unnecessary problems. This issue is being raised at a high level, and there is an understanding of its significance.
Ponomarev also added that scheduled inspections and monitoring of the use of cash registers continue, which ensures transparency in business operations. At the same time, the number of those trying to evade control is decreasing, which also indicates positive changes in the field of entrepreneurship, he concluded.
