On January 28, during a meeting, the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, highlighted important issues concerning the construction industry and expressed dissatisfaction from companies operating in this sector.
“Representatives of several construction organizations have approached us. The Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services, responsible for this area, has independently set tariffs. This has led to an increase in the cost of square meters of housing, creating serious difficulties for people wishing to purchase housing. I ask the relevant committee of the Jogorku Kenesh to carefully consider and discuss this situation next week. After that, we will also discuss it at a meeting. Numerous complaints require immediate intervention,” noted Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu.
Furthermore, the Speaker emphasized that the Jogorku Kenesh serves as an important platform for discussing such social issues. “We must use this opportunity as effectively as possible,” he added.
