In his speech, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu emphasized that all proposed versions of the anthem are composed in a march style, which will make it difficult for most citizens to perform. “It is necessary to create works in a more free form, similar to the songs ‘Kyrgyz Jeri’ and ‘Mekenim Meykin’. We must abandon the Soviet march style. The anthem should be such that it can be easily performed not only at official events but also at various celebrations. It is a symbol of our unity and an important element of national identity that should unite us and evoke pride in every Kyrgyzstani,” he added, urging the authors participating in the competition to pay special attention to this issue.
Additionally, the speaker announced that the competition for the best anthem will continue. He reminded that anyone interested can participate, and the winners will receive special prizes from the president.
