Azerbaijani political scientist noted the strengthening positions of Kyrgyzstan in foreign policy

In an interview with the Kabar agency, a well-known political scientist from Azerbaijan, Professor Fikret Sadikhov of the Western Caspian University, shared his views on Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy. He noted the changes that have occurred in the country during the presidency of Sadyr Japarov, as well as commented on the cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.

According to Sadikhov, significant reforms are being implemented in Kyrgyzstan under Japarov's leadership. In particular, a new Constitution has been adopted and approaches to personnel policy in public administration have been revised.

The expert emphasized that Kyrgyzstan consistently defends its interests and demonstrates a mature approach to foreign relations.

"Changes in personnel policy and the balance of power in Kyrgyzstan have created conditions for the implementation of reforms. I believe that the country adheres to a balanced foreign policy strategy. In particular, Kyrgyzstan is actively working to strengthen ties with Central Asia while also paying attention to developing relations with Europe and the USA," he noted.
Sadikhov also added that the relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan continue to deepen, based on the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding. Agreements and visits between the two countries create conditions for the realization of the ambitious plans put forward by President Japarov.

As the political scientist noted, many agreements have been signed between the states, including the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation and the Declaration on Strategic Partnership. These documents form a reliable legal basis for the further development of bilateral relations, and Presidents Sadyr Japarov and Ilham Aliyev play an important role in this process.

"For many years, various events and meetings have been held within the Organization of Turkic States, leading to the signing of important agreements. This contributes to strengthening mutual trust and political solidarity, as well as developing economic and technical cooperation, and popularizing the cultural heritage of the Turkic world. The relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan are also developing based on a shared history," concluded the expert.
"Our cultures and traditions have much in common; we are united by language and religion. Therefore, our countries take a unified position on contemporary international issues and define foreign policy priorities. This, in turn, creates conditions for strengthening relations both within the Turkic Council and between its members, including Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan," added the political scientist.
