At a government meeting in the administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the need to develop a digital tourist platform.
He noted that currently, tourist services are presented in a fragmented manner. The creation of a new platform will allow for the integration of all services, making travel more comfortable for tourists.
“At the moment, visas, routes, transportation, booking, and insurance are not interconnected. This leads to time loss for tourists, as well as difficulties related to language barriers and complicated procedures. Each government agency operates within its own information system, which results in a broken tourist chain. As a result, the state lacks complete and accurate information, businesses miss a unified digital space, and tourists do not have access to clear and reliable information. To address these issues, the Tourism Department under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce should work together with the Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies to create a unified digital platform as soon as possible. It should integrate government services, business services, and payment tools,” emphasized Kasymaliev.
In addition, the Prime Minister issued a series of instructions for government agencies regarding the development of this digital project:
- The Tourism Department needs to define the requirements for the platform, develop its functionality, and become the state customer;
- The Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies should ensure funding for the development, implementation, and support of the platform within two months;
- The Ministry of Finance must allocate a budget for the operation and maintenance of the platform for the next year;
- The institution "Tunduk" is responsible for the development, implementation, and technical support of the platform, as well as for its preparation and testing within three months;
- It is also necessary to ensure the integration of the platform with the relevant information systems of government agencies and the "Tunduk" system.
