According to the information from the department, there are currently solar power plants operating in the country with a total installed capacity of 101.95 MW.
“One of the main achievements of this year was the signing of investment agreements for the construction of five solar and one wind power plants with a total capacity of 3150 MW. The total amount of attracted investments was $4.215 billion,” the ministry reports.
Overall, in 2025, the energy sector added 44.59 MW of capacity thanks to small hydropower plants and 101.22 MW due to solar energy sources.
