IMF Raises China's Economic Growth Forecast to 4.5% in 2026
In the IMF's statement, it is noted that the new estimate is 0.3 percentage points higher than the previous one. This change is attributed to the reduction of U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods due to a trade truce reached in November, as well as to economic stimulus measures that will be implemented over the next two years. It is expected that by 2027, the growth rate of the economy will be 4.0%.
In 2025, the actual growth of China's economy reached 5%.
